Paint is the common word for fluid that is used to attach the color to the surface of the object by covering it with a shape (color) coating. As an action, painting means "painting" (painting something) is a painter who is called a painter.

The artist should first prepare the surface so that it is smooth, clean and dry. The first layer of paint is often an "undermost" or "ground" that is smooth and runs very well. The colorful pants are placed at the top. A home-painter, which uses oil paint on a wooden frame, can use three layers of color to provide better protection from weather.
